Success How Long Does It Take To Become Successful? 5 Components To Have Success!

Success - How Long Does It Take To Become Successful? 5 Components To Have Success!
By Greg Nicholls

I enjoy microwave popcorn and I really like the fact that it is ready about 2-3 minutes from when I decide that I want some. I am also amazed at how computers have changed over the years; they have become faster and faster as the technology changed. But my favourite, is that I can be walking down the street and decide that I want to speak on the phone with somebody and in 15 seconds I can have a mobile phone call connected.

In most cases, I have come to expect that when I want something now, that means I WANT IT NOW! Think about my example above, if it took 2-3 minutes for my mobile phone call to connect a call, or for my computer programs to open, I would likely be really frustrated - it would seem to be forever, but 2-3 minutes for popcorn is ok.

As a society, we have developed an expectation of “instant” or “microwave results” and if those results are not met within the time frame we have established in our mind, then we can tend to get frustrated, and maybe quit working towards a successful outcome.

“How long does it take to become successful?”

Do you think that the inventors of microwave popcorn developed the technology to produce microwave popcorn in 2-3 minutes, or 2-3 months? No, it was likely 2-3 years and guess what, they are still perfecting their success.

Although it does happen sometimes, what seems like “instant” or “microwave success” is becoming an expectation for almost everything, usually because the people observing the success of others, do not know about the actual amount of work the person has done before they got there. Those having success were just ready to receive success and that is when it came to them, but they became ready by being a student of some form of personal development.

Ok, now it is time to put down the popcorn, stop playing with your computer and shut off your mobile phone so we can get into the five specific components to success. It has been said many times before and here it is again…success is a choice and you can choose to succeed, or you can choose to fail, the good news is the choice is yours to make every single day.

Personal Development is actually a general description for the many small changes and choices made in your life daily towards your own personal success. There is a law to attracting success into your life and I will let you know of a movie that I recommend that reveals “the secret” below.

Now, success can be attained by following five simple recommendations; if you truly desire success, you will want to make sure that you implement these instructions and practice the five components to success daily:

1. Daily Meditation/Visualization of Goals – Specific goal setting and daily review; visualize your Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely (S.M.A.R.T.) goals with the emotion as if you have already have attained them.

2. Daily Income-Producing Activities – You can choose to be doing something that will produce revenue right now, if you are just thinking about it or trying to get your ducks in row, you are just wasting time. As Mike Litman says: “You Don’t Have To Get It Right, You Just Have to Get It Going!”

3. Study Personal Development – On a daily basis too; you can get plugged into the study of personal development, if you do not, you simply become a reflection of what you are plugged into (news media, negative friends and anything else that can bring you down) you are a product of what you allow into your mind.

4. Mastermind With Other Leaders - Have mentors and a coach; people that are having success in the area you want to succeed in people that are willing to teach you and keep you on track. Once you get a hold of them, do not let go! If you let them get away, they will not wait for you to catch up.

5. Cultivate The Expectation of Leadership – Leaders lead by example and do not look back and dwell on their failures. Expect excellence from yourself first and do the things you need to do on a daily basis. Then you can expect the same from others; the people that will become successful and contribute to your success by your influence and example. These people will have followed you because you expect leadership and success in yourself and in those around you.

While there are no guarantees in life; you can choose to follow the five components to success and implement them into your life consistently. When you do, you will get everything you desire!

Success and how long it takes to become successful...You should now understand; the answer to this is totally up to you!

5 Success Tips to Success

5 Success Tips to Success
By Jackie Ulmer

You've just started your Network Marketing business and you are ready to shoot right to the top. Here are some concepts to embrace each day as you go along your journey.

Success Tip # 1 - Change Your Thinking

Always maintain a positive attitude.

Many years ago, a large American shoe manufacturer sent two sales reps out to different parts of the Australian outback to see if they could drum up some business among the aborigines. Some time later, the company received telegrams from both agents. The first one said - No business here. Natives dont wear shoes. The second one said - Great opportunity here - the natives don't wear shoes.

How do you see things in your life and your business? Are you prone to see the glass half full or half empty? Do you see opportunity with someone who already uses a different brand of your product or do you assume there is no place for your tremendous product?

Your thinking has determined everything about where you are RIGHT NOW! As you look around, it is your beliefs and attitude that are reflected in the environment around you.

Here's the GREAT news - if you are happy with where you are, you can continue to enjoy where you are and what you have. Continue focusing on the positive.

If you are not happy with where you are and what you have, you can change it. It's as simple as changing your thoughts. And, you CAN change your thoughts. Go on, give it a try. Try it for 21 days and watch what happens!

Success Tip # 2 - Get Back Up

It's not whether you get knocked down. It's whether you get back up.

So, you talk to 6 people and none of them are interested in your products or your business. So what? Do those 6 people hold the keys to your future? Do those 6 people make your house payment, feed your kids, or care a lot about what you think of them?

Some will and some won't in this business. You are only looking for the some who will. They are out there. You are living proof that they are. After, all, you became a some will right?

Refuse to accept the notion of rejection in this business. It simply does not exist. No one is rejecting you. They are simply not interested in what you are offering at this time. Have you ever turned down a refill on a cup of coffee at a restaurant? Did the waiter run away crying and screaming because you rejected him? Nope, he said next and moved to the next table. You can do the same.

Believe in your product and share that excitement. Insulate yourself from any one else's opinion by your own belief.

Then, pick yourself back up and keep searching for gold.

I believe in you. Believe in you, too!

Success Tip # 3 - Four Great Reasons to Build It

1.Network Marketing is a tremendous opportunity to create all kinds of things that you want in your life. You can create fun and creativity. You can create financial independence. You can create confidence and great people skills. Nearly 20 million Americans are doing some type of entrepreneurial enterprise from their home. And, this number is expected to increase dramatically. Be a part of that and find others and bring them into the fold.

2.Anyone (and especially women) can set their own hours , be flexible in their schedules as they balance many things, develop a stable, solid, permanent income and develop some long lasting friendships!

3.There is NO gender gap or glass ceilings in Network Marketing. ANYONE can reach the top, regardless of background, education, etc. Have your PhD? Great, you can shoot straight to the top in Network Marketing. Have your GED? Great, you can shoot straight to the top in Network Marketing.

4.You don't need a HUGE capital investment to begin your business. Grants and small business loans are even available for women and others! You just need a great attitude that you can succeed and a BIG desire to do it!

So, WHY NOT YOU AND WHY NOT NOW?

Success Tip #4 - Improving Your Game

The best investment you can make in your business is to constantly improve on you.

Are you improving every day? Do you wake up feeling alive, and ready to go in your business? Are you committed to your dreams? Do you HAVE dreams?

Work on being focused and fired up about your business EVERY day of each year. Blow by obstacles and don't let them hinder you or slow you down. Get clear on your goals and even clearer on your INTENTIONS in your business. Set intentions each and every day.

Are you going for greatness?

Stop and ask yourself - Could I make one more call to one more prospect? Could I send one more email? Could I book one more party, set up one more fundraiser, recognize one more team member, etc.? Could I pass out more flyers, hand out more samples?

Life and your business is an experiment. And, you really can't fail unless you quit or do nothing.

Each experiment will lead you closer to your goal and the greatness you aspire to.

You must know what an incredible opportunity you have with your Network Marketing business. You MUST!

Big things are right around the corner - are you planning to be the top achiever in your company, are you going to be committed 100%? How great can you be if you are anything less than 100% committed?

How committed would you be if you KNEW you could get everything in life you want? How many calls would you make, or samples would you hand out?

Commit to yourself and your dreams TODAY!

Success Tip #5 - Under promise and Over-deliver

Ever been over hyped in a business? Promised the moon and only delivered the launch pad? Who hasn't? Set out to be different in your business.

Start by NEVER making any income claims. Dont even share your own income with others. Why? Well, it just doesn't matter. Whether you are making one or one million dollars, this has nothing to do with your team partner's ability to make an income.

Only offer up what you can deliver upon.

That really comes down to your partnership.

What are you offering to those who join you in your business?

What support do you make available?

What tools?

What sets you apart from the 42 other people they found on the Google search for your business?

Be very clear on what you offer in partnership, put it into writing and make sure you deliver on it.

Have some things that you dont offer, yet deliver. How many people in Network Marketing can actually say that their sponsor offered MORE in support and training than they promised?

Take the higher road and watch your business soar.

There has never been a better time to have a home business than now. I say that to myself EVERY single day and have for over ten years. Every day, I am right. You have what it takes, now go make it happen!

Success Is A Winning Feeling

Success Is A Winning Feeling
By Saleem Rana

While it may seem that success creates the winning feeling, it is also possible to use the winning feeling to create success.

Let me explain.

Your subconscious mind does not know the difference between something imagined and something that really happened. Your conscious mind knows, but your subconscious does not know.

What is the significance of this little psychological fact?

First, lets briefly cover the difference between the two aspects of your mind. Then, youll be able to grasp the significance of this little trick you can play on your own mind to motivate yourself into a success breakout.

The conscious mind is what you are using right now to read and evaluate the ideas in this article.

The subconscious mind is what runs the three trillion processes of your body and is the storehouse of all your memories and latent, untapped mental powers.

The conscious mind is reality-oriented. The subconscious mind is a servomechanism that responds to what the conscious mind tells it.

The conscious mind is the decision-maker. The subconscious mind puts the decisions made into action. While the conscious mind can come up with a good plan, it is the subconscious mind that makes it happen.

Finally, like an iceberg, most of your mind is underwater; it is subconscious. What you often assume to be your mind is just the small portion that is visible on the surface.

Now when you are succeeding in something, you feel encouraged and get better and better at it. You put more time and more energy into it. Your learn more and you refine your experiences, creating even better strategies. All this happens because you have a winning feeling.

Conversely, when you are failing at something, your self-esteem plunges, you feel lethargic, and you get stupid about what needs to be done. Soon enough, the losing feeling hurts so much that you discontinue the activity altogether and move on to something less painful.

With the winning feeling, you move toward even greater success, and you get more of what you want. With the losing feeling, you move toward even more failure, and you get less of what you want.

Now, lets put all this together.

By simulating the experience of winning, even before it has actually happened, your conscious mind is turning on the juice and the subconscious mind pours out more resourcesmore creative and inspired ideas, a greater enthusiasm for learning, and more energy and effort toward the goal.

Simply by continuously imagining yourself, holographically imagining yourself, as winning, you actually start to make it happen. Your 3 dimensional vision of your own success will create the actual experience.

This is the way to earn more money, enjoy better health, enjoy a wonderful relationship, and fulfill that long desired ambition.

Sow the Seeds of Success

Sow the Seeds of Success
By Steve Brunkhorst

We each have different ideas of what success means. We also have different limitations. Yet limitations need not stop us from living our purpose and achieving our objectives.

We will be guided by many powerful helping hands when we commit ourselves to success and follow it's laws. Success begins by requiring that we keep our minds focused on our desired outcome, not our limitations.

The most important seeds of success are desire, vision, knowledge, honesty, integrity, confidence, resolve, focused action, and persistence. They must be nourished with faith each day.

The success we envision can seem far away. The preparations necessary may take time and effort. There may be temptations to quit with the finish line years in the distance. Mentally zoom in and look at your finish line! Experience it internally today.

Instead of trying to leap from the starting line to the finish line, we can begin by taking one small step - doing what we are capable of doing - today. Robert Collier said, Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out. Small efforts will eventually get us to the finish line.

Some skip planning and preparation, want the work done for them, and want the payoff; they will not succeed. We need to take a stand for what we want, commit to it, and then start building our own doors to knock on.

Success does not exist inside books. Yet books are valuable in that they catalyze the abilities already inside us. Books wake us up and provide necessary inspiration and education. They nourish and fire up our potential. Then it is up to us to put that knowledge into action and develop discipline and skills. Good books work... only if the reader works.

The Creator placed the seeds of success in the exact place they would be needed; they live inside of us, waiting to germinate, grow, and blossom. By living with faith-filled principles, those seeds will grow to bring rewarding accomplishments in the years to come.

We will reap only what we sow. Sow seeds of success within your mind and spirit today!

Five Success Lessons From The 2006 World Football Cup

Five Success Lessons From The 2006 World Football Cup
By John Watson

Football, like any sport, teaches lessons about how to succeed and how to fail. The world football cup competition in 2006 which was won by Italy is full of such lessons.

One lesson is that we should never rely too much on another person or persons to achieve our goals for us.

When England played in the world cup, huge reliance was placed on the shoulders of a young footballer called Wayne Rooney who was expected to score many goals for his team.

In the end he did not score one goal and was sent off for stamping on the family jewels of one of the Portuguese players. England lost the game and all hope of winning the world cup.

Jeremy Clarkson commented in an English tabloid: I'm assured by friends who are football fans that Wayne Rooney is the best striker in the world. So let's add up his tally of goals shall we? It was, er, nought.

Another star English player is David Beckham who is famous for his varied hair styles. Jeremy was not impressed:

Plainly, he's very good at taking free kicks. But what exactly does he do for the rest of the time? Is he at the hairdresser's?

This is a little unfair as one of Beckham's goals took England through to the quarter finals. However, Jeremy did approve of one player (with a chaotic hair style) who scored an outstanding goal and who played well throughout:

Joe Cole spends very little time at the hairdresser's (obviously) and as a result is the best player we've got. I'm not sure what is achieved by all that fancy footwork but it's fun to watch.

France also placed too much reliance on their famous player, Zinadine Zidane. When France played Spain the commentator remarked:

When Zidane's in the team, the fans will believe, France won 3-1 and Zidane scored the last goal

Zidane played well with flashes of brilliance for most of the world cup including part of the final but near the end of the final he went from hero to zero when he head butted the chest of the Italian player, Materazzi, for insulting his mother and sister. Materazzi was flattened but Zidane was sent off.

The game went to penalties and, without Zidane, the French team did not perform as well as the Italians. France lost and Italy became the gladiators who won. France had relied too much on one legend who was also a human being.

Obviously another key lesson from the head butt saga is that it pays to keep one's cool and not take insults personally. A sportswriter for the Boston Globe stated that on most professional fields of play in the U.S., it's more of a news bulletin if someone isn't insulting your mother.

We still don't know for sure what was said to Zidane. One lip reader suggested that Materazzi was wishing an ugly death on him and his family.

Henri, a world class French striker, commented that we should not forget that Zidane was a great player and a great man. Some English papers were less kind. They had headlines about 'ZidVicious' and 'Zinsane'. An American anchor man said Zidane had gone from 'legend to lout'.

Zidane helped the French win the world cup in 1998 and helped them nearly win it in 2006 but in the end his inability to control his anger may well have lost them the 2006 world cup.

He said: Je ne regrette rien. But the team he captained and the country he played for will regret his action for years to come. Some lost their chance of winning the world cup for ever.

He had walked away from Materazzi three times but in the end his anger took over and he turned round and performed the head butt which will provide a lasting memory of the 2006 world cup.

One moment of anger can destroy a relationship for ever. It can even result in murder and imprisonment for life. Leaders of any kind are exposed to criticism all the time. If they wish continue to lead, they must control their anger.

A third key lesson can be learned from the man who was the recipient of Zidane's expert head butt. Materazzi began the world cup final with a disastrous mistake. He scored an own goal.

A lesser man would have worried about his mistake and played badly for the rest of the game. Instead Materazzi used his mistake to spur himself to head a goal against the French at the other end of the field. He thus put his team mates back into the game.

Later he managed to provoke Zidane into performing the notorious head butt. No one condones his provocation of Zidane but he again bounced back from a painful situation. He got up at once after the head butt and carried on playing with energy. In the penalty shoot out, he scored one of the goals.

Materazzi shows us all how to react to our own mistakes. We need to put them out of our minds and focus on what we can do to achieve our goals.

The Italian team as a whole showed this quality. Thirteen of their squad played for Italian teams who were suspected of match fixing. The trial was going on in Italy during the period of the world cup.

The Italian team used the cloud of suspicion and criticism that hung over them to bond them together as a team and give them the energy and determination to win the world cup.

A fourth success lesson from the world cup is that we should not give up too soon because of our age. The French team had done well to reach the final even if they did not win. They had even struggled to qualify

They said that the French team was too old and the Spanish fans told Zidane that this would be his last game for France. Instead it was Spain who did not last long in the world cup.

Henri had been asked a few days before the competition if France were too old to do well.

Yes, replied Henri with some sarcasm, and today we are one day older.

In view of France's success when playing with three 'retired' players one of whom scored most of their goals, we should reconsider our view of what constitutes retirement age.

Le Monde compared the French team to the English rugby team who won the rugby world cup in 2003 They too were considered too old.

A fifth key success lesson is not to blame other people for our own failures. Again, Jeremy Clarkson has some wise and amusing words to say on this to the disappointed England fans.

Don't blame Ronaldo, Sven or the referee we were rubbish.

Ronaldo is a Portuguese player who wound up the great Wayne Rooney and then winked at his coach. Somehow this makes him a bastard, comments Jeremy.

Some fans blame the Argentinian referee. Giving him the whistle apparently is a bit like asking Osama bin Laden to referee a match between the USA and Afghanistan. In fact the referee did a fairly good job and was chosen to referee the final.

Sven, the coach, gets most blame for not bringing enough strikers to the cup. However, if some of England's key players had played as well as they normally do, there would have been no shortage of goals.

England just did not play well enough. A key lesson for the England team and many of us is that we need to stop blaming others for our failures and just make up our minds to do better next time.

Five key success lessons emerge from the above.

Don't rely on other people to achieve your goals. They are only human and may let you down. Take responsibility for your own goals and plans.

Don't lose your temper. Don't take insults personally. A moment of anger can lead to a life time of regret.

Don't allow your own mistakes to paralyse or distract you. Focus on what needs to be done to achieve your goals. Tony Blair made the mistake of saying he would retire before the next election. His answer to those who keep asking him when he will retire is that he is simply focusing on what needs to be done to improve the lives of UK citizens.

Don't retire from life too early. France nearly won the world cup with an ageing team. England won the 2003 world rugby cup with a team that was criticised for being too old.

Don't blame other people for your own poor performance. Admit that you were not good enough and concentrate on doing better next time.

Leadership Success Secrets

Leadership Success Secrets
By Ocha Nix

Before you get started reading this, go to www.google.com right now and do a search on success. You will find over 1 Billion pages returned. Now does that tell you something?

What comes to my mind is that there are a lot of people looking to find success. They are searching for answers, hoping to find some magic potion. They want it in their daily lives; they want to be successful in their business. People want to make more money, they want success in everything aspect of their existence.

It also tells me many people do not know how to be successful, or know what it takes to succeed. Success can mean many different things to many different people, but one thing is certain, everybody wants it. You and I are no different.

Therefore, whether it means building a better relationship with your spouse, spending more time with your family doing the fun things in life, or starting a business and making more money, you have to act in order to succeed.

If you will follow and apply these leadership success secrets and principles to your life, I feel certain that you will attain the success for which you are searching. You cannot just sit back and do nothing, you have to make the decision that you will succeed. What is your choice?

1. Everyone has problems. Your success and happiness in life depend on how willing you are to help someone else solve their problems. Successful people are problem solvers.

2. Doubt is deadly. Your thoughts have presence. They can draw people to you or they can drive people away from you. Your attitude is always sensed. You will never succeed in business unless you believe in that business. If you are not excited, your doubts will eventually surface.

3. Somebody needs you. Go find them. Be active. Move toward your family, your customers, your neighbors and friends. Success involves people. Find those who can enable you to succeed. You will never possess what you are unwilling to pursue.

4. You must plan. Successful people plan. If you do not plan to succeed, you are planning to fail. Planning is the starting point for any dream or goal. A plan must be written in order to achieve success and reach your goal.

5. Money is a reward. Money is simply what you receive when you help someone else achieve his or her goal. Money is very important. It allows you to live in your home, buy your clothes, and drive your car. When you help others, the money will follow.

6. Passion is power. Never will you have success to a large degree with anything until it becomes an obsession with you. Find something that consumes you, something worthy of building your life around. Whatever you do, do it with all your might.

7. Educate those around you. You will always remember what you teach. It is important that you mentor someone. Teach them what you know. No one was born with great knowledge. Take time to teach someone.

8. Never be discouraged. People, including your family, often will misjudge your motives. Customers may doubt your sincerity. Every extraordinary achiever has been misjudged. People laughed at the horseless carriage. Others sneered at the telephone. Your success is on the other side.

9. Decisions create a desired future. Make the decisions that will create the future you desire. If you eat two pieces of pie every night, what will be the result? If you decide to do nothing, nothing happens. Start thinking about your decisions, they determine your future.

10. Do something you have never done. People everyday fail simply because they are unwilling to change. If you want something you have never had, you have to do something you have never done. You have to move out of your comfort zone in order to achieve success.

11. Decide what you really want. When you decide exactly what you want, the how to will follow. Write it down on a piece of paper and make it real. Make it yours.

My 10 Keys To Success

My 10 Keys To Success
By Ollie Rains

What dictates the difference between success and failure? There are several different factors that decide whether we succeed or fail at whatever we do in life.

Most of us at one time or another, will or have faced financial adversity. The difference is whether we choose to think lack or see it as a challenge to change our situation. These are some of the things I have found useful when I thought seriously about bankruptcy.

1.Be confident and have faith that as time passes, things will always change. You never know what tomorrow will bring. Confidence in your self will attract opportunities you could not imagine. Faith in your self will alleviate the fear that attracts negative things in all our lives.

2.Make a plan to succeed. Try to follow that plan as closely as possible, one step at a time. When you know where you are going, you gain confidence in doing. Gradually increase your goals and strengthen your confidence. Face each problem as it comes up, so it will not develop into additional problems.

3.Find your passion. Passion is the greatest motivator for accomplishment and financial success. Whatever you do, try to find something that sets you on fire, whether it might be a hobby, or your current work or a new field completely. We need to get excited to succeed!

4.Draw on past experiences in your financial situation, and avoid making the same mistakes again.

5.Money attracts more money, so whatever you do; never think on a poverty level. Remember the faith. Picture yourself where you want to be this time next year! Nothing ever happens in your life unless you let your mind explore your hopes and dreams. In other words, if you dont picture it in your mind, its not gonna happen!

6.Let go of all bitterness and resentment toward others who have taken advantage of you financially, directly or indirectly. The law of compensation will then be free to bring you a just return from places, which you may not be aware.

7.Put yourself wholeheartedly into whatever you have to do. This alone will bring its own reward in time.

8.Strive each day to improve on what you did yesterday. This will soon give you a sense of growth and accomplishment.

9.Eliminate negative attitudes by removing the word cant from your vocabulary and mind. Negative thoughts never bring success, so each day strive to maintain a positive attitude, no matter what dissention is around you.

10.Try to maintain a sense of humor, even if you have to constantly cultivate one.

Never, never, never give up! Even when you feel its time to throw in the towel, perseverance is key if you ever hope to succeed at anything in life. The rewards of you labor will come, if not now, then later. But believe me, they will come!

Nothing in life worth having will ever be gained by giving up. How you react emotionally and mentally to whatever happens in your life will determine your future. You must develop a positive mental attitude to attract positive things to you. Take an interest in those around you knowing that what you give will come back to you in many different forms.

The way we feel, think and react to the world around us dictates our happiness, success, and even our health. Develop control of your emotions so you may direct the creative power within that we all possess. Overcome your fears, they will bring negative energies into your life. Picture only good things happening so your creative power will have only good blueprints to work with. Never knowingly use the power you possess for selfish or evil purposes, as this could destroy any chance at happiness or success! Put your strongest feeling of desire behind the things in life you really want.
