Creating Success

Creating Success
By Leslie Fieger

All things begin in consciousness.

Consciousness originates everything that is manifest. Universal consciousness makes manifest the entire universe and subsides within its creation. You and your individual consciousness are indivisible from the universe and universal consciousness.

That which you create or make manifest originates in your consciousness. Creation of any manifest reality (goal accomplishment) is the successful out-picturing of an ideal.

The process of creation starts with the ideal. The first realm of creation is the ideal, your idealization. Your ideal is made distinct, out of the infinite but imprecise potentialities available to you, by your clear, consistent thought patterns, plus your fervent desire for or love of your ideal, plus your constant fiat or promise to your ideal, plus your faith in or faithfulness to your ideal.

Your ideal is made definite, out of the infinite but imprecise potentialities available to you, by your firm belief in your ideal chosen through your discernment of what is ideal for you, plus your insight into its value to others plus the wisdom to effectuate the ideal using natural law.

Then it moves the virtual. The second realm of creation is the virtual, your virtuality. Your ideal is proscribed as probable or virtually true, by your intention to effectuate your ideal, plus your objective or aspiration for your ideal, plus your gratitude for your ideal, plus your detachment from or objectivity toward your ideal.

Your ideal is described as probable or virtually true, by the clear picturing of your ideal in your imagination, plus your visualization or expectation of your ideal, plus your affirmation or declaration of your ideal, plus your congruity or accordance with your ideal.

Then it becomes real. The third realm of creation is your reality. You and your ideal will now have, in reality, achieved clarity, and, as a consequence, all your behavior will be in accord with your ideal. Your actions are true.

You and your ideal will now have, in reality, achieved lucidity, and, as a consequence, all your communications will be in agreement with your ideal. Your word is truth.

Then, finally, the result appears. The fourth realm of creation is your actuality. Your ideal manifests. Harmony of beingness, doingness and havingness has been achieved.

Here is another way to look at it; (often, the way to understand some thing or some process is to de-engineer it, that is, to take the result apart, piece by piece, and examine each piece to see how it contributes or is necessary to the result) ...

Success is goal accomplishment. Success is harmony. It is simply a matter of all the components of the process of creation working together to create the result.

The result is the havingness. Prior to the result is the doingness. Prior to the doingness is the beingness. Be, Do, Have.

The reality of your result can also be called its veracity. Is it true? If what you have is true to your ideal, then what you do must also be true to your ideal and how you are must be true to your ideal.

De-engineering your result, your success, you can see from the above-described process of success, that the words you speak or what you communicate and the actions you take or things you do must also be true or harmonious with the result. In order for that to happen, you must have arrived at a certain lucidity and clarity about your goals or results.

Clarity is achieved through detachment or objectivity from your goal. Lucidity comes from your congruity with your goal. These, too, must be in harmony with your result.

* Your ability to objectify or be detached from your goal comes from your gratitude for its existence.

* Your gratitude for your goal comes from your aspiration or ambition to achieve your goal.

* Your aspiration comes from your intentionality about the goal. Your ability to be congruent with your goal comes from your affirmation or assertion of its reality and value.

* Your affirmation comes from your ability to visualize or expect your goal.

* Your ability to visualize comes from what you choose to imagine, your imagination.

All these components or attributes must, likewise, be harmonious with your result or success.

* Your intentions about your goal arise from your faith in or faithfulness to your ideal.

* Your faith arises from your fiat or promise or commitment to your ideal.

* Your fiat arises from your desire or love of your ideal. Your desire arises out of the original thought that impressed or defined your ideal.

* Your ability to imagine your goal arises out of your wisdom or prudence that you apply to your ideal.

* Your wisdom arises out of the insight you have into the expected effectuation of your ideal, your insight arises out of the original discernment or acumen that you used to select your ideal.

* Your ability to discern arises from your original belief that expressed or articulated your ideal.

All these components, including your thought patterns and belief structures must, likewise, be harmonious with your result or success.

Your results can be shown to always be in harmony with your thoughts and beliefs, even when your results are apparently discordant with your ideals.

So, it all comes down to the basic components of thought and belief.

You are able to choose how and what to think. You are able to choose how and what to believe; how to be. You are at cause. Your beingness is the causal. Your result, what you have, is the effectual. Everything in between is the flow from being to having.

It is called doing. Doing is the application of knowledge. It is often said that knowledge is power. It is not. Knowledge only defines potential. It is through the application of knowledge that power is employed.

The exercise of your personal power is to consciously create and effectuate your ideals.

Be causal.

Success Results From Observing Your Life

Success Results From Observing Your Life
By Billie Washington

If youre not getting the results you desire in life, you need to increase your powers of observation.

Quantum Physics tells us that our world is based upon observations because observation is what affects the waves of energy in becoming particles that create solid material objects.

The kind of observation that affects our world is much more involved than noticing the color of your friends shirt or how many people are in line ahead of you. On the contrary, the kind of observation that breeds success begins with the observation of your thoughts.

Thats right. Your thoughts.

When you become aware of your thoughts, you consequently become more aware of what those thoughts lead to: your language followed by your actions. By gaining a greater awareness of your actions, you will then be able to start making choices about what you really want to happen rather than reacting to your unobserved results emotionally.

For instance, if you think you cant start your own business, your language is affected by those thoughts. You thus tell yourself you cant start your own business. Since youre telling yourself you cant, you will never take action to begin. And you will never experience the results you desire in your business life.

But if you begin to observe your life at the core levelyour thoughtsyou will be able to recognize your negative thought pattern. And change it.

To change your thoughts, you begin to think you can start your own business. Then your language changes. You tell yourself you can, and this new language prompts you to take action. Action that results in the freedom youve been searching for.

Being an Observer bridges the gap between your inner world and outer world. Look and listen to what you do and say and think. Then you can purposely change the basic programming of your mind.

Become the Observer of your life today.

5 Powerful Reasons Why INSPIRATION Should Be a Part of YOUR Success Strategy

5 Powerful Reasons Why INSPIRATION Should Be a Part of YOUR Success Strategy
By Cari Vollmer

Let's face it. Life can be difficult. It just can be. Work pressures mount, family demands become overwhelming, health suffers, stress builds.

I have to admit, it happens to me and when it does, when life gets to be too much or too hard, I put up a CLOSED for business sign and seek out a little inspiration.

Inspiration looks good (a beautiful photograph), smells good (a bed of roses), sounds good (Vivaldi's Four Seasons) and feels good (family photographs, your favorite movie or book).

Surrounding yourself with inspiration helps you get and keep your life on track because it returns you to YOUR spirit -- to your center. When you feel inspired, it's a sign you're touching a place deep within yourself. From this place, you can create, plan, and simply live a life that feels better. And when you feel better, everything runs a bit more smoothly, creativity increases, things get done, you feel happier.

1. Inspiration is Heart OpeningThink about the last time you read an inspiring story. Did your heart feel 10 times bigger than normal? Inspiration opens your heart and when your heart is open you become more accepting of yourself and others. You feel more patient. Your general outlook improves. Connecting with your heart reduces stress.

2. Inspiration Inspires GreatnessHave you ever seen a beautiful painting and had the urge to stop by your nearest art supply store for a canvas and oil paints? Inspiring works of art touch within us our innate desire to create art that's unique to us. (art = an outward expression of your deepest joy)

3. Inspiration Calms and RestoresNature. Fresh air. Wide open spaces. Sunny, hot beaches. Don't you already feel more relaxed? Exactly! Mother Nature is ready and willing to share her inspired works of art with us. She's made it highly accessible and totally free!

4. Inspiration Energizes and RefreshesHow did you feel watching Lance Armstrong win the Tour de France for the 7th time? Did it make you want to jump on your bike for a 2400 hundred mile bike ride on steep mountain roads? Maybe! Did it make you want to do something greater with your life? Inspiration is powerful because it touches the part of us that knows, deep inside, we're made for so much more.

5. Inspiration Spreads JoyInspiration makes you feel good. Just think of the last inspiring chain-email you received and passed on with a note that said, I never do this but I had to share this with you! When you feel good, when the joy in you comes alive, and you share your joy with others, you impact the world in a thousand positive ways.

The next time life feels difficult, put up a CLOSED for business sign and get out for a little inspiration. You'll love the results.

All Successful People Do This - And YouToo Can Do It
By Mohamed Tohami

Did you know that by applying a simple strategy you canbecome successful beyond your imagination?!

Success is not dedicated for a certain category of luckytalented people and hence anyone can become similar to thosesuccess gurus.

Success doesnt depend on your environment, circumstances, level of education, financial situation,...etc.

All successful people faced a lot of negative circumstancesand failures before they achieve what they want. They were poor, with little or no education, and were brought up undertough circumstances.

But they all followed the same strategy, to change theircircumstances and reach their dreams.

You must follow this simple strategy, if you want toachieve your goals and become successful.

Here is the ultimate success strategy:

Apply the Principles of Success

Simple, right?!!!

But always remember: The true power lies under the realsimplicity.

This powerful strategy guarantees your successbecause principles are the same and always work.

Success principles are the same no matter where you live orwhen you live.

Success principles always work because they are proven facts used by all successful people to achieve their goals.

Success leaves clues. And these clues are timeless successprinciples.

Principles will work for you as well but this depends on asingle condition.

This condition is: Principles always work if you work theprinciples

You must apply these principles and put them in action.

Action makes all the difference.

Successful people believe in principles and so theypersist until they see the results.

Apply success principles and they will always work. Since they worked with all who applied them, they willwork with you too.

But remember you must work the principles yourself. Don't wait for somebody else to apply the principles for you.

You must apply the principles by yourself. Don't wait forsomebody to give you permission to become successful.

Analyze your situation and see how this principle can workfor you. Do it yourself.

You must lead your life.

And never surrender.

Keep practicing the principle until it works.

It takes time to master success principles. Like when you startdriving your car, it took time to be a good driver.

It needs practice until you get positive results.

And here comes the benefit of having a mentor in your life.He can guide you through your journey and support you inevery step. And, he can teach you these principles andhow to master them.

Read success books and you will gain life time experiencefrom the expert authors.

Attend success and personal development seminars and courses to get close to success mentorsand learn from their experience.

Success Principles always work if you work them. Keeppracticing the principles until you master them.

You too can become successful with the same principles usedby all successful people in the world.

Start living the life of your dreams.

How Team Ferrari Can Accelerate Your Success

How Team Ferrari Can Accelerate Your Success
By Chris Green

Picture the scene:

Its the Monaco Grand Prix and the Ferrari of Michael Schumacher is in pole position. The warm-up lap has been completed and Schumacher revs the engine, waiting for the lights to flash in sequence: Ready. Set. GO!

The race begins. Schumacher uses his supreme skill to drive the car to its limits and successfully overcome the challenges presented by the tricky street circuit.

At each third of the race, the perfect opportunity to bring the car into the pits to maintain maximum advantage is determined. Each time the Ferrari makes a pit stop, an efficient pit crew will get to work. The car will be jacked up. Tires will be changed, fuel will be added, visors cleaned, spot checks made.

All completed within 10 seconds. Each team member performs their duties at lightening speed to ensure no time is wasted so the car can maintain or improve the lead.

And as the race progresses, a team of analysts will act on feedback received from the Ferraris on-board computers and from the driver. The race strategy will be constantly reviewed and changes will be made if necessary to ensure the car has the best chance of winning the race.

Driver, engineers, mechanics, designers, strategists, technicians all working together to ensure the car has the best possible chance of victory.

So how can Team Ferrari help to accelerate your success?

As you pursue your goals and ambitions, youll encounter many trying times. You will face challenges, obstacles, sticking points and setbacks. Your motivation levels will drop, you may feel burned out, stressed, frustrated.

At such trying times, youre going to need support to help you stay in the race. Just like Michael Schumacher, you cant do everything all by yourself and when you face challenges and problems, these are the times when youll need to go into the pits.

It is so important no, VITAL that you can turn to positive, success-minded, enthusiastic people. People whove done something with their lives, whove faced challenges, who know how to overcome fears and obstacles and who can keep you on track to win.

They are the people who well refer to as: TEAM YOU.

Unfortunately, many people who pursue a dream turn to people who live life in fear, who havent done anything with their lives and who hold a negative view about life.

Guess what happens when you turn to such people when you need support?

Youre right! They increase your fears, they focus on the problems, they offer no solutions, in short, they make it harder and harder for you to win your race.

Would Ferraris pit crew consist of people who want to give up at the first obstacle? People who believe the race is lost before its started? People whod retire the car after 10 laps because the race was too hard?

You know Team Ferrari wouldnt have such people anywhere near their car!

So why have negative people in Team You? OK, I know you may find it hard to find like-minded, positive people to create your success team. So heres a technique I use to create my own success team, a team I can rely on when I need to make a pit stop:

Throughout history, there have been many people who have achieved great success and who overcame many major challenges. The help they can give you is priceless. So read about them. Study them. How did they meet their challenges? How did they deal with setbacks? You can find out by reading biographies and autobiographies. Use the Internet too.

You can read about presidents and ministers, kings and queens, warriors and pacifists, sporting heroes, entertainers, inventors, explorers, tycoons, personal development experts, philosophers and spiritual leaders whoever you admire, whoever inspires you, whoever excites you, read about them. These are people whove achieved great things. Study them. Learn from them.

These are the people who can join TEAM YOU. Why not pick the best to help you win your race?

5 Power Keys For Leadership Success!

5 Power Keys For Leadership Success!
By Bill Thomas

Did you know that you can successfully handle mostleadership challenges with just 5 simple strategies? Byfocusing your attention on these critical areas you canempower your the opportunities hiding within your vision, new venture or project plans.

The biggest problem facing people like you is knowing when, what and how to operate your leadership power keys.

You have no problem turning on your computer, using it tofind answers and producing your letters or reports with it.

Why not make your leadership power keys help you influenceothers, guide them towards rewarding outcomes and nurturetheir growth into success-driven leaders?

POWER KEY-1: Simplify The Complex!

The reason why leaders are important is because of thesituation, circumstance or condition facing the group. Youcan look at these things as being a need, a problem or anopportunity.

People will look to you to lead them as you explore, discover and plan the best course of action for dealing withthis complex state of affairs.

Therefore your leadership power key relies on your abilityto systematically investigate, evaluate, map, organize andcommunicate solutions.

POWER KEY-2: Envision New Vistas!

This is the time for boldness! Your group begs to dosomething inspiring, engaging, worthwhile and special. Givethem a vibrant, vivid and vital vision - excite theirhearts, minds, souls and spirits.

Regardless of your task, function, project or business, youmust lead others using your mind's eye [imagined view of acompelling vision.

Your leadership power key involves creating, shaping, sharpening and publicizing the vision as you also encouragepeople to embrace it, own its outcomes and feed itspossibilities.

POWER KEY-3: Go For The Gusto!

Your team will wonder about their priorities every moment ofevery day. How will you inform, reassure and coach them?

There are just a few items you should concentrate yourefforts, attention and assessments on - they are yourleadership agenda:

1) Security - health, wellness, safety

2) Wisdom - knowledge, relevance, applicability

3) Power - personal, team, shared, how much

4) Guidance - where, what, when, who, why, what & how

5) Syntropy - importation & focusing of power sources

6) Conceptuality - analyzing patterns, artifacts, concepts

7) [Universe Frontiering - ask & find what's out there?

POWER KEY-4: Be Disciplined and Willful!

You must deal effectively with reality to hold onto yourleadership power keys. If there is no disciplined approach, direction or intent, you will not lead for very long.

Many leaders fail to rigorously design, supervise or executetheir strategies. Yet, strategic planning can be one of yourstrongest power keys.

Your strategy should empower others to -

- trust your motives

- maintain their will-power

- develop a positive self-regard

- define their responsibilities

- exercise control

- judge their performance or progress

- usher them through the process of change

POWER KEY-5: Behave Yourself!

You don't have to change your spots! You do however have toserve the needs of different circumstances, constituents andconsiderations.

There are certain ethical matters that you must apply - youwill need to be fair, honest, and consistent when dealingwith people. Your behavior reflects your concerns, concentrations and character.

Your leadership power key demands that you adopt the propermental attitudes, behaviors based upon rock-solid personalvalues and motives driven by your most positive eccentricforces.

Can you adapt? Will you behave? Do you really care? Thesequestions reveal the power behind this key.

------------------------------------------------------------

You can spend thousands and invest weeks of precious time informal classroom instruction. Eventually you would begin toacquire these power keys of successful leaders.

These simple principles are so easy to remember - in fact, Iuse them myself. They're the power keys to all of my personal, business and community leadership activities - and they always deliver great results.

Gurus like Peter Drucker, Tom Peters, Warren Bennis, JackWelch discuss these five principles at length in their work.

Great historical figures including Mahatma Gandhi, NelsonMandela, John F. Kennedy and Marie Curie have demonstratedthese skills in their leadership roles.

Your leadership success depends on your agreement withChurchill's observation: A pessimist sees the difficulty inevery opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in everydifficulty.

These 5 power keys are the keys to success for all of yourlife adventures - will you walk with expectations forpositive outcomes, will you commit yourself to growingstronger and use your own leadership power keys toenergize your performances?

Quick Access to Knowledge One Key to Success for Entrepreneurs

Quick Access to Knowledge One Key to Success for Entrepreneurs
By Daryl Des Marais

Knowledge used widely gains a leverage to obtain more resources and understand more viewpoints and accepted current norms.

So, you have heard that knowledge is power. But have you heard that knowledge when planned and acted on properly can produce wealth quicker. Some of the most successful entrepreneurs know this, they are continually learning from others. Why you say? Why would they bother? Well, because change is enevitable. In today's day and age, change and information are two things that are always in motion, always propelling society further.

It is amazing how much knowledge is available, especially with the internet. But how do you sift throught all that knowledge to find what is relevant. So how can you aquire more knowledge in less time. There are many ways. Set aside a small amount of time per day or week to read. Set a goal of what you want to read and what you want to learn that is new. Still there is alot to read.

One other thing you can do is take a speed reading course. Currently one of the best speed-reading courses is ExecuRead, that can increase your reading speed by more than double your current rate.

If you were to take it one step further, to gain a competitive edge, Book Summaries are a great tool. You have complete books summarized in pages with all the necessary information you need, and less the's, and's etc.

Book summaries can help the entrepreneur with the following:

-Get Ideas You Can Use
-Advance your career
-Boost company profits
-Move your firm into the lead
-Slash Your Reading Time
-Gain A Competitive Edge
-Learn new skills
-Know the latest business concepts

A Carnegie-Mellon Study showed that readers retain more of the content when they read a well-written summary than when they read the book.

How Do You Measure Success?

How Do You Measure Success?
By Jennifer Koretsky

I had a conversation with my client Linda the other day. She was in crisis mode and very upset with herself. She set a goal for herself the day before to be on time for everything, all day long.

She woke up early, and left for work early. She made it to all her meetings on time. Although it was really difficult, she left work on time, and she even managed to make it to her evening doctor's appointment on time.

However, she got caught up on the phone with her sister later that night, and the next thing she knew, she was running behind schedule! She was 10 minutes late beginning her bedtime routine of journaling and washing up, and she was 5 minutes late to bed.

Linda was mad at herself. She had done so much hard work throughout the day to be on time, and then she carelessly lost track of time and ruined her perfectly on-time day.

I know Linda very well, as I've been coaching her a long time. I couldn't help but giggle at the end of Linda's story because it was so familiar. Linda, do you know what you just did? I asked.

At that point, she giggled, too. Yes, I guess I just realized it, she answered. I held myself to unrealistic expectations, and I didn't give myself credit for the successes.

Bingo! There were so many successes in Linda's day! And yet she was choosing to focus on the one thing that didn't go as planned.

And what happens when you hold yourself to unrealistic expectations? I asked.

I get really mad at myself for not being perfect, she answered sheepishly.

And what happens when you try to be perfect? I continued.

I get annoyed. I throw my hands in the air and give up. I don't end up giving myself credit for what I did right. She knew where this was going.

And what happens when you don't give yourself credit for what you did right? I pursued.

I waste my time beating myself up over stupid things instead of building on my successes! Linda knew this stuff, she just needed to be reminded, as we all do sometimes.

You know, she offered. When I step back and think about it, I did an amazing job yesterday. I almost never get to work on time, and yet I did. I'm always the one running into meetings late and disheveled, and yet I was there in my seat with my pen and paper out for both my meetings! And I didn't have to apologize to my doctor for being late and holding him up.

So what that I went to bed 5 minutes late! she continued. I did a damn good job, and I need to remember that instead of beating myself up for every little thing!

We all need to remember that.

Top 10 Ways to Ensure Success With Your Resolutions

Top 10 Ways to Ensure Success With Your Resolutions
By Lori Radun

It has been said that 60-80% of New Year's resolutions will be broken within the first two weeks. Personally, I am not a huge advocate of New Year's resolutions because I believe in setting and achieving personal goals all year around. However, I do respect the fact that New Year's resolutions are very popular, and I understand that the New Year is a very logical time to start fresh. That being said, I wanted to share with you the top ten ways to increase the likelihood for success with your New Year's resolutions.

1. Stick to 1 or 2 important goals.

Having a laundry list of all the things you would like to change in your life can be overwhelming. Your chances for success are much higher if you stick to 1 or 2 of your most important goals. This allows you to concentrate all your energy and focus on these goals. Once you achieve those goals, you can always set 1 or 2 more.

2. Be realistic.

It's okay to think big and want the best, but it is more important to succeed, so be realistic. Ask yourself whether or not your goals are reasonable and possible. It is probably not realistic to set the goal of never yelling at your kids again. How will you feel about your resolution when your children test you on a very bad day and you yell? Certainly one can cut back on yelling and work to find alternative ways to deal with misbehavior, but an all or nothing attitude may set you up for failure, and feeling like you've failed can set you up for more failure. Instead, accept and honor your humanness.

3. Be specific.

Be as specific as possible when determining goals. Articulate how you will measure success and exactly what you are trying to achieve. Making a resolution to lose weight is too general. A better choice would be to set a specific and manageable goal. For example say, I will lose 25 pounds by June 30, 2006. Be specific when answering the what, when and how.

4. Connect to your motivation for achieving your goal.

Why do you want to achieve this goal? Why now? Make sure your motivation comes from your heart, and not from your head. In other words, your goal should be something you really desire, and not something you know you SHOULD do. Really connect to why this is so important to you. Pay attention to whether or not you are being driven by fear or love. Beware of setting goals based on what someone else in your life thinks you should do. Your resolutions should come from your authentic self.

5. Examine your belief in your ability to achieve this goal.

What do you believe about your ability to achieve your New Year's resolutions? If you have tried to reach the same goal many times before without much success, your confidence could be wavering. You could be feeding yourself negative messages without even realizing it. Be conscious about positive thinking. Remind yourself that you are capable of doing anything you set your heart to. Tell yourself every day that you have the ability to take the steps it will take to reach your goal.

6. Create a detailed plan to achieve your goal.

Let's say your resolution is to eliminate the clutter in your home. But how will you start when the clutter is overwhelming? It may be helpful to break large goals into intermediate, manageable steps. Make a list of each area you need to tackle. Then break each area into even smaller segments that can be tackled easily. For instance, set time aside to clean out old clothes, then to organize sweaters, then to throw out old shoes, and finally arrange clothing by color or type. Don't forget to specify a time limit for accomplishing each of the smaller steps. Before you know it, the larger goal will have been met.

7. Recognize that you may encounter obstacles.

Most people give up on their goals because they run into some type of obstacle along the way. Obstacles can be internal or external. Examples of internal obstacles include negative self-talk, limiting beliefs and discipline issues. Some external obstacles are the lack of time, money or resources. Know in advance what hurdles you may have to conquer.

8. Identify a plan of action to overcome obstacles.

If you are trying to give up chocolate (I would never try this!), what are you going to do when you get a craving for chocolate, or when all your friends are chowing down on chocolate cake? Maybe your plan would be to carry a sweet substitute with you at all times. Or perhaps you could involve yourself in a fun activity when the urge strikes. If your obstacles are tougher and you need more support, consider hiring a life coach to help you work through your blocks.

9. Enlist the support of an accountability partner.

As you work towards your goals, it can be very helpful to have someone in your life to be your support partner. Consider asking your partner or friend to help you stick to the resolutions you have set. Use this person when you are struggling and set up a plan to check in regularly with him/her. As a coach, I have the privilege of trading coaching services with my peers. My coach helps me achieve my goals, overcome any obstacles, and celebrate my success.

10. Celebrate success along the way.

One of the most important things you can do for yourself is celebrate your small successes as you work towards your larger goals. Don't wait until the end to reward yourself. You deserve to be recognized for your efforts and your commitment, especially when your goals take a long time to achieve. If you don't celebrate on your journey, you will lose your motivation. So celebrate, celebrate, and celebrate!

I wish you the best in achieving your 2006 New Year's resolutions. If you fall off your path, remember you can always get back on. It's okay to take a few detours. No one said there can't be St. Patrick's Day resolutions, Easter resolutions, or even Independence Day resolutions.

Keys To Being Successful Persistence

Keys To Being Successful - Persistence
By Nilesh Gore

One of the keys to being successful in anything you do is persistence. Persistence & patience are two wheels. Whenever there is persistence; patience must be co-existed, else you will be like a bike in garage. Lets clarify the word persistence :- It is ability to be persist on instances.

Once you have realized & determined exactly what it is you want to achieve, you must take Significant & considerate action using good plan on a consistent, persistent basis in direction to succeed. Think of it like building a muscle. If you have never exercised before, the first time you go to a gym, chances are you will not be able to bench press 100 lbs. However, if you are persistent, and you consistently go back to the gym, you will find yourself getting stronger and closer to your goal / objective with each and every visit.

One of the things you'll observe on your way towards your goal, are speed-breakers. That is, you will encounter obstacles that seem to jump out of nowhere in an attempt to slow down your progress. Count on these obstacles. They are a part of life. Everyone would have every success they ever wanted if there were no obstacles. Your job is to be persistent and work through those obstacles. If you find little or no obstacles along the way, chances are you are not really challenging yourself coz person realizes his potential when he is on climax . And when you do reach your goal, you won't experience the feeling of 'sweet success'. Make your goal a specialized & challenging one!

If you take the time to study any successful person, you will learn that the vast majority of them have had more 'failures' than they have had 'successes'. This is because successful people are persistent; the more they stumble and fall, the more they get right back up and get going again. On the other hand, people that don't get back up and try again, never reach success. For example (1 & 2), 1 Colonel Sanders spent two years driving across the United States looking for restaurants to buy his chicken recipe. He was turned down near about thousand times! How successful is Fried Chicken today? 2 India got freedom because of the persistence & patience of great revolutionaries on their objective to make India free. Having said this, keep in mind that you must constantly reevaluate your circumstances and the approach you are using to reach your goal. There is no sense in being persistent at something that you are doing incorrectly! Sometimes you have to modify your approach along the way. Every time you do something you learn from it, and therefore find a better way to do it.

Success Through Expertise Bring In The Experts Or Become An Expert Yourself

Success Through Expertise - Bring In The Experts Or Become An Expert Yourself
By John Watson

This morning, on TV, I was amazed to see how a house could be transformed by experts. They were allowed to use only 500 (or $1100 dollars) and they had to complete the work in two days.

The owner wanted to sell his house but had had no offers so far although about 8 people had visited the house.

The reasons were fairly obvious. The house was large with great potential and the gardens were beautiful. However, inside the house, the carpets were shabby and needed removing or steam cleaning. The colours were drab; you would probably need counselling after living in the house for too long. The windows were dirty and obscured by net curtains which looked liked discarded bloomers.

The experts juggled the furniture around the sitting room until they found the best arrangement. They compared it to solving a jigsaw puzzle. Keep moving the chairs and sofa around until the pieces fit. They made the conservatory look 'unbelievable' according to the owner.

They used colour combinations which were similar to the most attractive colour combinations of food. Strawberries and cream, for example, not only taste good; they look good.

They used simple things like candles, tapestries and blocks of paint to create a magical effect in the rooms.

The owner was stunned but delighted by the changes and he learned fast. He had to show the first prospective buyer (who arrived after the changes) round the house. He pointed out the benefits of the changes like a professional. The buyer was impressed.

It was obvious that, with a little training, the house owner could himself become an expert at making over houses for sale. It has been said that if you train for an hour a day for six months in anything you can become an expert.

Of course, this would not apply to those who wish to be heart surgeons or astronauts but it would apply to many areas of expertise.

I was recently delighted by the work of a copy writing expert who lives in Italy. I asked him to write the sales page for my recent book. He started by suggesting a much improved title for the book.

I had called the book 'Awesome Acronyms About Achieving Your Aims'. He thought this was boring and changed the title to '36 Laws To Ignite Your Inner Power And Realize Your Dreams Now! I think he was right!

He brought some stories into the sales copy and used powerful and exciting words which showed off the best points of the book. He made me impressed with the book I had written and he was also able to say things about me which I would have been too modest to say about myself.

His changes were often small but made a big difference to the copy.

Where I wrote: Lose Weight But Avoid Losing Money, he used a more positive phrase like : Lose Weight But Keep Your Money!

He empowered readers by using imaginative metaphors or pictures. For example, where I wrote Three Words That Can Achieve All Your Goals,he wrote 'Three Words To Help You Take Flight And Achieve All Your Goals.

His version is much more imaginative. You can visualise yourself flying through the air like an eagle rather than plodding along like a donkey.

His expertise transformed the sales copy but it also made me realise that I could do the same myself if I really worked at it. I have since joined Trevor 'Toe-Cracker' Crook's copywriting website and plan on becoming an expert myself. Trevor, incidentally lives in Australia.

Copywriting is something you can do from any location in the world. So is golf.

You can improve your golf swing greatly by having just one session with a golf pro. They can teach you all sorts of ways to improve your swing. You can attach a light to your golf club, for example, and use the beam to make sure you swing the club along the correct arc.

You can improve your putting by hitting a wooden tee placed upside down. The size of a hole on the green is about 30 times the size the top of a wooden tee. The experts will provide you with all kinds of tips but if you learn these tips yourself, you could become an expert as well.

I encourage all my martial arts students to aim to become instructors. They will continue to learn themselves by teaching others. I spend most of my own time teaching others the things I need or want to learn myself.

So then, bring in the experts or become an expert yourself or do both. Some kind of success is likely to follow. Sometimes the success will astonish you.

About the author

Success in your Pocket

Success in your Pocket
By Santhanam Nagarajan

M R Kopmeyer, in his book, How you can get richer, quicker suggests us to write down our ideas in 3 x 5 cards and carry them in our pocket. Ideas in 3 x 5 cards are for re-reading and study.Frank Bettger in his book, How I raised Myself From Failure to Success in Selling reveals his pocket reminder technique: I made up a 3 x 5 card, a pocket reminder, for each one of my subjects, with a brief summary of the principles. The first week, I carried the card Enthusiasm in my pocket. At odd moments during the day, I read these principles.

Edison had a sign on his laboratory wall which read- There is a better way to do it Find it

All successful people used to have pocket reminders and motivational slogans. We can write down success techniques in small cards and carry them wherever we go.

The catch words should be as brief as possible. I have prepared a list of pocket reminders in just three / two words. The list is given below:

3 Steps to Daily Success: Using Motivational and Inspirational Quotes to Achieve Your Goals

3 Steps to Daily Success: Using Motivational and Inspirational Quotes to Achieve Your Goals
By Ray Schiel

Changing our day-to-day behaviors may be easier than previously imagined. By meditating on and repeating motivational and inspirational quotes, we are better prepared to change our thought patterns, behaviors and in turn, change our lives.

Here's how it's done.

If we believe something to be easy, we find little, if any struggle in accomplishing it. However, if we imagine something to be difficult to accomplish, then our struggle becomes more apparent. In fact, if we imagine that it is difficult to change a specific behavior, then we will always find experiences that will justify that belief.

Take this for example. We wake up one morning and decide that:

This is the day I start losing weight. When things get difficult, I will not reach for junk food, but instead I will focus on something else to keep my mind occupied. It'll be tough at first, but I'm going to give it a try.

If you continue with this thought pattern and belief, don't be surprised to find yourself struggling more often than not. Why?

If we look at this example closely we find a couple of thought patterns and beliefs already in place. We have determined to do something good for ourselves, but we do ourselves a disservice by choosing certain negative thought patterns, beliefs and words that go along with it.

We have said,

When things get difficult....

(This is already assuming that there will be difficult moments! Strike one!)

It'll be tough at first...

(This is already assuming it will be difficult at first! Strike two!)

...but I'm going to give it a try.

(Remember the movie The Karate Kid...Theirs is no ry, there is only do. Strike three!)

Now there are hundreds of products out there that will assist people in losing weight. Some, if not all of them, may work for various people at various stages of their goal. But for many people who have convinced themselves that losing weight is difficult, some products may fall short when our thought patterns are stronger than our desire to change.

Here is something that I've done to change a behavior I no longer desired.

I recently lost 20lbs in about 12 weeks. I didn't like the way I looked, felt or even thought for that matter. I needed to change and take some action towards it.

First, I realized that I had to change my way of thinking about losing weight. My old thought patterns were no longer working for me. My thoughts were like little tiny pictures that I projected in my mind of how heavy I was. I no longer wanted these pictures or thought patterns a part of my life. I had to choose a thought pattern and belief that would be easier to think about.

I chose this thought,

Losing weight is easier than I thought.

Perhaps not the most ideal for everyone but it worked for me.

Secondly, I chose a word I wanted to focus on for that day, week or month to help me in accomplishing my goal (Start with just a day, or just an hour for that matter. Keep it simple.) The word I chose needed to be in relation to the change I want to make. For example, I chose the word FOCUS, as I felt that that's what I needed to think about most of time; focusing more on losing weight than gaining it. Choose any word as long as it relates to your situation. (Attitude, Energy, Action, Believe...)

Following that, I scoured the Internet for motivational and inspirational quotes that resonated within me that related to that specific word I chose. Quotes that I could remember, especially ones that really spoke to what I wanted to accomplish.

But here's the most important part.

I needed quotes that were powerful enough to change my thought patterns the moment I read them. Quotes that REALLY spoke to me when I my eyes fell upon them. Quotes that forced me to pause and think for a moment. Quotes that had that extra edge where my mind said, Yes. This is one. These are all signs of a quote that held power for me.

I focused in on the following quotes.

All that we are is the result of what we have thought. Buddha

The only way to discover the limits of the possible, is to go beyond them into them impossible. Arthur C. Clarke

It's not what you achieve in the end that matters, it's who you become in the process. Author Unknown

In fact, I found dozens of quotes that I resorted to from time to time, but these three I always came back to. They spoke of who I was, what I wanted to accomplish and who I wanted to become as I worked towards my goal.

I wrote them down. I carried these quotes with me constantly. I read them and meditated on them whenever I had the opportunity to. At work, home or at the gym (yup, I finally got myself to exercise, primarily by focusing on Arthur C. Clarke's quote!), I focused on these three powerful quotes to help me FOCUS on what I wanted.

Because I changed my thought patterns, over time, I can honestly say I am 20 lbs lighter and a whole lot happier. Yes, more was involved than just thinking but it all began with my thoughts. The thoughts then permeated into my actions. (Now I need to FOCUS on maintaining that weight, so for me a whole new thought pattern begins.)

Here are the three steps again:

1. Decided to change your way of thinking about a behavior, making it easier for you to think about it. Phrase it in a simple way.

2. Choose a word to focus on to change that behavior for a period of time.

3. Find a minimum of three motivational or inspirational quotes related to that specific word that are powerful enough to change your current thought patterns the moment you read them. Meditate on them and repeat them, silently or out loud, every chance you get.

Be patient. Stick with it. Give it some time.

Why do you think companies offer a 30-day money back guarantee? They know that if you do something for 30 days it becomes a habit and you no longer need to return it! (Learned something, huh?) Give it time.

The first step to what you want to accomplish is changing your mind and the thought patterns and beliefs associated with your behavior. Thoughts are the precursor to action, meaning that thoughts occur before any action takes place. That's what needs to be changed first. Your thoughts. It worked for me and I hope this inspires and motivates you to achieve your goal.

Think positive.

Set Yourself Up For Success

Set Yourself Up For Success
By Leslie Fieger

I receive several emails every week asking me about how to become successful. It is tempting to just refer people to my books and articles. I have, after all, written thousands of pages specifically about success and how to go about getting it. I usually, however, provide a personalized answer to those who do write.

Each answer I provide, no matter how individual it may seem, is based on a very simple formula. It is this: circumstances /opportunity + individual beingness and doingness = results.

Most people, when dissatisfied with their results, run around trying to find or change the first part of the equation; i.e. the circumstances or opportunity they are presented with. This may sometimes result in changed results. But, it is the hit and miss way to achieve the results they desire. They may or may not find or create the perfect circumstances/opportunities. There are a lot of variables in the world.

There is, however, one aspect of that formula that it is possible to have control over and to change to effect different results. That is the second part of the equation: individual beingness and doingness.

Each of us humans can choose how to be in this world and what to do in each moment. It is the individual choices we each make in each and every moment about how to be and what to do that determine our results.

Many are in denial about this. Yet it is as plain as can be. If you and I have the same opportunity and you create success with this opportunity and I do not, then the only variable that can possibly be deficient and needs to be changed is me. Opportunity + me = results. If 100 people are given the same opportunity and only 1 succeeds; most people would jump to the conclusion that the opportunity is not good enough. But, I say that if even one person can create success, then the real variable that needs to be changed is the beingness of the 99 people who are failing.

Most people want to change the world rather than themselves, even if it is just their little corner of the world. But, they stubbornly refuse to change themselves. There is one major thing they overlook. They jump from one opportunity to the next, hoping to find success, never realizing that they must change who or how they are being; or else the next opportunity will seem just as deficient as the current one.

In order to change your world, you must change. As Gandhi said, you must be the change you wish to see in the world. If you want more out of life, you must first become more. Beingness plus doingness = havingness.

It is inescapable. You are the one who determines the degree of success you will have in life. No one else and no thing else is responsible. Do not depend upon or blame others. Some may support your success and some may detract from it; but it is you alone that determines whether or not you attain the success you define and desire.

If others are throwing stones at you, use them to shore up your foundations. I am always amazed at how many people allow the criticisms of others or the negative actions of others or the resistance of others to delay or even belay their success.

If you want (I mean really, really want) success in life, you will have to learn to set yourself up for success. Yes, there are specific techniques, tools and information that is necessary for success; but, for the most part, success is determined by a person's prevailing attitude about one's self and one's right to certain things in life.

You must adopt a high level of self-esteem. You must know in your heart that you deserve success...that it is your right. You must come to expect that, despite any apparent negative circumstances or outright negative feedback from others, you will prevail and the ideals that you have set for yourself are yours simply because you claim them and that they will show up no matter what happens along the way.

How do you get to know that you truly deserve the success your imagine and aspire to? Get to know the real you. Your real essence is divine. You are at one with the all that is all. Therefore you deserve all that you can imagine you do. The universe is all set up to support you. It, in fact, conspires with you to supply all that you ask for.

You just have to be careful about how and what you are asking. Your beliefs, thoughts and emotions are creative. They produce results. What exactly are you thinking? Why? To what end do you hold those repetitive predominant thoughts? To what intent do you hold those beliefs? Does your beliefs support your ideals? Why do you choose to feel the way you feel about yourself and your world?

You can choose your beliefs. You can choose your thoughts. You can choose your emotions. You can choose your overall attitude to life. Those choices determine how you are being. How you are being determines your results. Want different results? Be different than you are being now. Pretty simple stuff really.

As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.

Think and grow rich.

With our thoughts, we make our world.

Be --> Do --> Have.

So, if you ever decide to write me about how to achieve success, you can know in advance that I will tell you, in one way or another, that you must begin to work on you before bothering to work on or at anything else. To merit and achieve success, you must first set yourself up for success. Become more in order to have more.

What is the Success Lesson in this Story?

What is the Success Lesson in this Story?
By Mike Litman

One of my clients gave me permission to tell you his story.

Jim called me 9 months ago and asked for help.

For the last 5 years Jim desperately wanted to leave his 9 to 5 job, but couldn't because the finances weren't there to support his wife and 2 kids. (6 and 9 years old)

In February 2001, Jim started reading personal development books and listening to CD's.

He got excited, like many of us.

He told me that at the age of 44 he finally lit his entrepreneurial spirit. He really wanted to grow both personally and financially.

Jim got excited, started working on a bunch of 'ideas'.

At first he worked on one thing, then 2 weeks later it was something else and 3 weeks later, a new thing.

That pattern kept going. Jim told me that in his zest to 'start a new life', a new lifestyle, more time with his wife and kids, he somehow was doing something wrong.

Personally, I used to make the same mistake he was making.

Unfortunately, I speak to hundreds of people each week in a similar situation to Jim.

One day we were on the phone and Jim got a bit emotional saying, Mike, I need to do something because my dreams and my family are important to me, but I'm completely scattered. I'm all over the place.

I could really relate to him because that was me for 6 years earlier in my life.

I asked Jim if he was really serious about finally regaining control of his life. He said yes.

I could feel in his voice that he really meant it.

You see, so many people like Jim want more, but haven't reached it yet and here's a big reason why.

They're scattered and their habits are poor.

I challenged Jim and showed him how getting focused and learning how to concentrate, would bring him great rewards.

One of the real secrets to success is focus and concentration.

And that's what Jim started to do.

It's now less then 10 months later and Jim is home with his kids all day. He's spending quality time with his wife. Even waking up after 10am some days.

Because he started concentrating his energy, one of his 'ideas' has now grown so big, he's left his 9 to 5 job.

The question might be asked, What did I tell Jim to help him become financially fr.ee and be able to quit his job?

I revealed to him the same things Theron Dumont revealed to me in his rare 1918 classic on the power of concentration.

Those secrets changed my life and now Jim's life also.

You can get the same life changing system that I showed Jim and get the classic book for free.

Jim didn't want to go through life being scattered and inconsistent and neither did I.

You really can discover how to quickly and easily become a person that can succeed in a big, big way.

Theron Dumont says:

Merely wishing for something will not bring it. Wishing you had something shows a weakness and not a belief that you will really get it. So never merely wish, as we are not living in a fairy age. You use up just as much brain force in vain imaginings as you do when you think of something worth while.

Jim changed his life and so can you.

Have a GREAT day!

How to Score Success

How to Score Success
By Chance Massaro

Imagine a sports event without a scoreboard. Makes you chuckle, doesnt it? Sure the game is fun, but without the scoreboard you cant know the progress or the winner!

Margarets Story

Margaret, the director of a social service agency, was desperate. Absenteeism was high, grievances were mounting, errors were rampant, and no one was talking about improvement. I asked her to name the one thing she would most like to change, and she said, Morale. If we had higher morale, employees would be more willing to work on the other problems. When I asked how she would measure morale, she said, Smiles. My suggestion was that we place a big scoreboard on the wall. We asked all the employees to keep track of the number of smiles they saw and give their totals to the receptionist at the end of the day. The results were charted on the scoreboard.

The first three days were awful: about one-half smile per employee. Then Margaret came to work in a garish wig and acted perfectly normally. No one mentioned the wig, but smiles were up 100 percent. Then, the receptionist wore way-too-much lipstick that was way-too-red. Employees made jokes about her sobriety and her personal relationships. Result: smiles were up another 200 percent. On the sixth day, four employees wore cowboy hats and used cowboy language all day long. People began to conspire to see how they could reach five hundred smiles in one day. It took only three more days. The place was full of weird hats, baby pictures, Internet jokes, and funny accents. After two weeks, the employees formed a High Morale Action Team (The Clowns). This team designed activities to keep people smiling. They instituted dress-down days and dress-up days, one-color days, and more. A year later, absenteeism was near zero, grievances were nonexistent, and errors were down by 83 percent.

Victory Card: Measuring Success Every Day

Victory Card: Measuring Success Every Day
By Joan Clout-Kruse

Changing my world has always been a challenge for me. Extreme shyness as a kid limited the number of close friends I had. Expressing myself in a classroom or auditorium was #1 on my fear-scale. The things I excelled in at that time were activities I could do by myself such as getting good grades, writing, drawing and roller skating.

Over the years I discovered being an Introvert had its handicaps. For example, I never asked for a raise. My way to get a salary increase was to quit my job and get a better paying oneafter all I could write a killer resume. Yet, the time came when I saw people get a promotion that I knew I was just as qualified to do, except I never spoke up. I figured they would see my good works and promote me. That is not how it happens. You have to speak up, share your ideas, offer solutions to problems, save the company money and let others know what you did. I accomplished these tasks without saying a word.

One day I said, Enough is enough. I had to change. I had to get out of my comfort zone and learn how to express myself without shaking like a leaf. I began attending success-oriented seminars, reading books on the subject, joining organizations and doing my best to reach out to people I would meet although it was hard for me to take the first step.

I found a way to measure my success as I worked on a goal. I wrote on a 3x5 card the following seven statements and carried the card around with me. The card looked like this:

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

  • HURRAY! I did it!
  • Wow! Im doing it.
  • Go! Keep on going.
  • YES, I can.

* * * * * * * * *

  • AH. Maybe Ill give it a try.
  • UGH. Im stuck.
  • NO! Absolutely not.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

You notice that I cant do it words begin at the bottom. If the bottom three statements were on my mind I knew there was no way I could work on my goal at this time. I would do something else rather than be miserable the whole day. I would give it a try the next day with a better attitude. It was a great feeling to be in one of the top four statements. I knew I had to keep on going while I had that terrific feeling. But be careful, just because you say, Yes, I can, doesnt mean it will happen. You have to get out of your comfort zone to MAKE IT HAPPEN.

The card gave me an awareness of how I was feeling on any given day. I would try harder to reach the next level. It might take months to get to the top depending upon how challenging my goal was.

How about you? Why not create your own 3x5 Victory Card that you can carry around with you? Measure your success every day and you will know when success is just around the corner.

What Makes People Successful?

What Makes People Successful?
By Ruth Barringham

What do successful people do that others dont?

What motivates them to keep going?

Can anyone be successful?

What makes them different from others?

Attitude

Successful people are confident, honest and driven.

These are attitudes, not skills.

Our attitude can improve our skills so we need to change our attitudes and become more focused and driven.

Our minds find it impossible to store all the information it receives in a day and so it deletes the unnecessary detail. So you need to change your attitude to your business or your life. You need to set goals, concentrate on knowing what you want to achieve and work towards achieving your goals.

But your goals need to be SMART goals:

Specific know exactly what you want

Measurable be able to follow the progress

Achievable be within your capabilities

Realistic be possible to do

Time you must make the time to do it

You need to know exactly what your goals are, be able to set a plan and follow it, be achievable for you (e.g. dont attempt to be a brain surgeon if you cant stand the sight of blood), be possible to do (e.g. dont try and think you can fly) and you must be prepared to put in the time to achieve your goals, or have the time to do it.

Seeing Things As They Are

Some days start off great and just get better while others start off bad and get worse.

Why is this?

It all depends on your attitude and what youre focusing on. If youre in a bad mood then everything will seem bad because youre focusing on it.

Its just the same with your goals. If you focus on missing them, then you will.

You see, our brain never hears the word wont or dont. Thats why children always do what you tell them not to. They never hear the word dont.

So if you focus on not missing your goal by thinking I wont fail, then you will. Instead, tell yourself, I will succeed.

Forget Failure

Children learn faster than adults because they have no fear of ridicule or failure.

Children always look on the bright side:

Kids are curious - Adults are cynical

Kids love puddles - Adults hate rain

Babies learn to walk by setting a goal and working towards it. When they fall down they adopt a different strategy, such as holding onto the furniture, and then they keep going and learning. We should take a leaf out of a babys book, so to speak.

Never say I cant do this. Just take notice of whats not working and change strategies. This will move you closer to your goal.

What else stops you from achieving our goals?

Beliefs

Your beliefs can hinder you or help you, but they can only help you if you understand that they are only beliefs.

Events dont shape your life. Its your interpretation of these events that shapes your life.

Your beliefs and certainties have the power to expand or destroy your true potential.

Beliefs are limiting, so its important to understand that they are only beliefs and not reality.

The past does not equal the future. Just because you havent achieved something in the past doesnt mean you cant achieve it in the future.

You need to question your beliefs and where they come from.

Remember, you can change but not if you believe you cant.

Focus on what your limiting beliefs have stopped you from achieving. Change whatever is limiting you.

If you believe youll win, then you will.

Remember that you dont have to be 100% successful in everything you do to be successful. Every step you take to achieve your goal is a success. And if something goes wrong, just chalk it up to experience we learn from our experiences.

Things You Can Do Right Now

Always ask yourself:

What did I do well today?

What did I learn today?

What am I going to do differently tomorrow?

Never avoid failure.

Stride for success.

Keep trying different strategies.

We slump when depressed and sit tall when we feel successful. Adopting these postures can affect our attitude and state of mind.

How you feel on the inside can affect how you look on the outside and this can influence people around you. What you focus your mind on affects your body language. Therefore you can change your state of mind by changing your posture. So when you feel depressed, adopt the upright posture of a successful person.

People and circumstances can also affect your state of mind, but this can be controlled. Instead of giving up letting external factors control your state of mind, adopt a positive attitude, stand tall and refuse to be influenced by negative things around you.

This is easier said than done because our responses are learned and our unconscious mind cannot always distinguish what is and isnt real.

For instance; if you raise your hand to your mouth and imagine youre sucking a lemon, youll wince. The lemon may be imaginary, but your mind has a conditioned response which makes you wince.

Therefore, never forget:

If you think you cant achieve something, then you won't.

If you think you can achieve something, then nothing will stand in your way.

What Not To Do The Ways to Drive Success Away From Yourself

What Not To Do - The Ways to Drive Success Away From Yourself
By Everte Farnell

Now on to the tip of the day. Last night watched The Apprentice season finale. I have a few shows each week that I like. As a rule I hate 'reality shows' but I do like The Apprentice.

Well it was down to only two people, Randall and Rebbecca. After hiring Randall, Donald Trump asked Randall a amazing question. Donald asked if Randall thought that he should hire Rebbecca also. What an unexpected question!

They wanted to work on different projects, so it would not have cost Randal a thing. He could have opened the door for a friend (at least a friendly acquaintance). He had won. No one could deny him that. He really had a chance to help someone with no ill effect to him, and secure a life long ally in Rebbecca. (For those of you who do not watch the show, Rebbecca proved to be very loyal even when it almost got her kicked off the show.)

So with all of this sitting in his lap and the chance to really do a good turn, and secure a life long business ally, Randal let vanity get the best of him. He said, there should only be one apprentice.

Loyalty is obtained through giving loyalty. Wealth through giving wealth. By showing a bit of loyalty and helping someone achieve a dream, Randal could have shown Mr. Trump that he was someone to be trusted. He would not turn on his friends/business acquaintances. He could have shown traits that would suggest to Mr. Trump that he is not only brilliant and well educated (and he is) but that he understands that he is not the focus of the business.

Remember that, you are not the focus to the other person, they are. You have to give the rings, which means you need to be generous in your dealings with others. Help others when you can, especially if it doesn't cost you anything.

Someone told me one time that if someone needs something and it means nothing to you, then you should give it to them. I agree.

If you can help someone advance, or bring them with you as you advance, then do it. Assuming, of course, they deserve the position.

So remember, give the rings, as the Barbarian chieftains of old would do. You can't help everyone, and you have to help yourself first, but after that don't be stingy with your time, influence or money. It will all come back several times.

With that I will say:

Get the Barbarian Mind Set and keep it. Stay tr to yourself and your family, the rest will take care of itself.

Business Strategies Tactics and Success

Business Strategies, Tactics and Success
By Tim Altvater

Let me tell you about the exact moment I went from struggling, near failure, to SUCCESS! I learned /realized I did NOT have a strategy. So, I then learned HOW to create one, it doubled my business in 1 year - and it will do AT LEAST that for you! If there is one thing you can do that will explode your business more than anything else, it's this: Create a plan! With a proper plan in place, your business can reach new heights at an incredible rate... AND you will be able to keep the momentum going. So what needs to be in your plan to be the most effective? Simple. You need to incorporate various strategies and tactics that will drive you towards your end goal. Before I go on, I want to define exactly what I mean by 'strategies' and 'tactics.' Strategies are the ideas on what you can do to dramatically improve your business.

Tactics explain exactly what you are going to do step by step to implement your strategies. A great plan has both. And when lined up correctly, there's no way you will miss your goal. Now, in this email, I'm just going to give you some BASICS as to how YOU can do this. To come up with your strategies, first... Decide EXACTLY what you want! Now you have strategic objective...

Next, take a piece of paper and write down the 10 things you KNOW would have to happen for you to achieve that Goal/Objective. Guess what! You now have your: Strategic Objective. Your Strategy (the 10 things you need to do) Your TACTICS are the Actual ACTION Items you take to achieve one of the 10 things on your list. NOW - Just do an ACTION at least 1 per day that leads to you being able to physically cross one of the 10 things on your list off, and now, you're working far more efficiently than at least 90% of the so-called entrepreneurs out there! Your no longer are reacting to each day and hoping something happens. You are being PRO active and MAKING things happen! Congratulations!

The TOP 5 Things That Keep You From Success

The TOP 5 Things That Keep You From Success
By Emmanuel Segui

Everyone wants to be rich. A lot of people want to be successful. Yet, only a few people are willing to pay the price. There is a price to success as there is a price to failure. Here are 5 reasons that keep people from accomplishing their dreams.

A lack of motivation. Success comes from loving what you do. Is your current job your passion? When your study highly successful people, you understand that they have at least 1 thing in common: they love what they do and they do what they love. Is this the case for you? If the answer is no, you can start by identifying your passion. This is the best way to get motivated.

A lack of faith. Faith is a firm belief in yourself, God or others that you can do it. Build up a strong vision of what you want to accomplish. In developing a vision, the law of attraction is going to work for you. You are going to attract people, opportunities and money that will allow you to develop an unstoppable confidence.

The fear of failure. The fear of failure doesn't exist. Neither does the fear of success. Fear stands for False Evidence Appearing Real. Micheal Jordan said himself that Fear is an illusion. It is hard to overcome fears. One simple way to overcome the fear of failure is to read inspirational stories and quotes of people that achieved their dreams. Read one every morning. That will give you strength and hope.

The wrong strategies. When you want to build a business, to achieve something really big, you need to have mentors. You can't allow yourself to loose time, money and energy. Mentors are people that will give you the right strategies; they will provide the right information and will inspire you. They will coach you through the process. Choose correctly your experts, your models. Work with them and adopt the same thinking patterns, the same strategies, the same beliefs. If he did it, you can do it too.

Limiting beliefs. Often times we have limiting beliefs about what we want to achieve. For example, you can really want to achieve a goal but at the same time something tells you: It's not for you, you don't deserve that or You can't do it, remember. These thoughts pollute our minds and darken our life. A quick way to stop these damaging thoughts is to use the power to say no! First, represent in your mind the limiting belief and say NO! to it. Now, represent in your mind what you want in its place and say a big YES! You will be amazed how your attitude suddenly changed about the old belief. Can you remember it?

I have just shared with you strategies to overcome the TOP 5 things that prevent people from success. When you apply these recommendations, your life will be enriched. You deserve success because you are special and unique. Everyone of us is. The fact is that we are potential geniuses. But the other fact is that often we refuse to admit it because it pushes us out of our comfort zone and most people don't like that. Get out of your comfort zone; this is the only way to succeed in life.

To Be Fulfilled and Successful in Life Be Happy First

To Be Fulfilled and Successful in Life, Be Happy First
By Keith Renninson

Recently, I decided to devote one month implementing the fundamentals of happiness to see if my life couldnt be more robust, fulfilling and successful.

I went about reviewing many books on philosophy, culture and happiness, which I had read and kept in my library, perusing my original notes, along with personally highlighted sections of the books. Then, I made every effort to live the lifestyle I mapped out for myself each day for the next thirty days. The problem is it worked too well.

Dont get me wrong, Im more than pleased with the outcomeI am happier than ever before, the personal and business goals, which I have set for myself, are coming to fruition; I can feel a new, exciting freedom emerging as self-imposed burdens are lifted from my shoulders more and more each day.

Where the problem lies is, I now see the true power I can generate with happiness, and sadly, how many people around me dont want to be that happy. I know that sounds like a strange statement, but its true.

Many people revel in being down, complaining about this or that and wallowing in the muck with friends who extort the same plights in their lives. They ossify the problem, and it lives with them the rest of their lives.

See where my issue lies? I cant relate anymore, nor do I want to. Now, I either have to find new, happy friends or teach my current ones how to laugh more often and enjoy life.

We all say we are looking for true happiness, solid financial security, exciting relationships, great health and fitness, but how many of us really try to find it and live it? Its easier to be down, mediocre, and postpone indefinitely that which we really want.

This principle applies to love, weight loss, writing a book, learning the piano, and being happy. The important things in life often take tremendous personal courage, much effort, a sense of sacrifice and a deep well of patience, if you don't pay attention to how happy you are to begin with. You see, the happier you are on a daily basis, the easier all of this gets.

When you dont have to take responsibility for anything, and can get away with complaining about it anyway, human nature will lead you down the path of least resistance to more and more sadness. Youve got to turn this around and see happiness as the default feeling, not unhappiness.

Simply put, if you work at eliminating any thought of those things in life you are trying to avoid, and focus of the things you do want with happiness, passion and desire, you will attract what you want.

The principle of magnetizing or visualizing what you want into your life is not new, as I found out through my study, many authors and philosophers have written about the power of happiness down through the ages. Applying our energies and focusing on our desires until we obtain them is called deliberate creation; Im living proof that it does work. I am happier and more grounded in my life than ever before, and you can be too.

When you think about it, happiness is our natural state. It is through self-inflicted guilt, envy, a sense of lack, focusing on what we dont want and a feeling of unworthiness that we backslide into perpetual unhappiness. The funny thing is we do this to ourselves!

Above I made the statement that we should think about things we want with passion, desire and intent. When you examine the lives of happy, successful people you come to realize they live with a high level of passion for what ever makes them happy, a deep desire to achieve it, and a powerful intent to fulfill the goal. It is easy to spot those who use this technique: Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Lance Armstrong, Rudy Guiliani, and Colin Powell are the most notable of the current generation. They all exemplify a positive attitude, and incorporate a high degree of happiness in their personal and professional lives.

.Map out a similar course for yourself.

Concentrate on being happy.

Focus on what you truly want in life.

Eliminate thoughts of what you dont want.

Be passionate about your goal.

Live in the present with intent.

Be patient with yourself.

Start by examining how much time you spend being unhappy or feeling mediocre. If its more than you had realized before, set about a plan to change it because you do have the power to do so. Smile more, play music, spend time with upbeat friends, watch comedies, read funny stories, intend to be happy in all aspects of your life, become one with your happiness and humor.

Then, write your own personal strategy for joy in your life with all of the aspects you want to live with from now on. Writing down your goals often gives them more meaning and power. Post them on your refrigerator or next to your computer so you can review them daily and revise what isnt working until you have a recipe for happiness and fulfillment.

We all are more powerful than we give ourselves permission to be, you can accomplish whatever you want, if you are happy, and put your mind to it with the intent to be successful.

In the end, it's one man's opinion...mine.
