Can You Smell Success

Can You Smell Success
By Vince Palko

Have you ever had a scent bring back a rush of memories?

Captured moments in time come running back with a light whiff of odor that tickles the olfactories. Well, you can use the sense of smell to catapult you towards success.

Let me explain.

Back when I lived in Germany I traveled to Italy several times.

One particular day I'll never forget. I was sitting on a train going from Florence to Rome.

Seated with my head resting on the head cushion, I looked out at the green hills, the wine vineyards, and olive trees. What a magnificent site. Also, scattered throughout the beautiful landscape were fragrant lemon orchards. I saw an old man float by working in his garden. It reminded my of my great grandfather, whom I only knew for a short time, and what it must have been like living and working in Italy before coming to America.

As the train continued to snake through the green, lush landscape, the wonderful aroma of lemons filled the train car.

A new fragrance tantalizing the olfactory nerves, I can still access the smell today. And if your mouth just moistened with saliva you smelled them too. What's interesting about your sense of smell is this can be one of the most powerful of the senses to step into a successful visualization meditation.

It takes very little effort to do so. Your mind programs the smell as your experience it, then catalogs for future reference.

It's a fact, if the olfactory nerves were taken away, you could still imagine what you were smelling based on the catalog built within your brain. That's how powerful this sense is. Don't believe me.

Let's do a simple test no matter what you're doing right now ...

Can you recall what your dentist office smells like.

Or how about a freshly cut watermelon.

Or fresh new car smell.

Or new carpet.

I bet you can.

Now how does this have to do with Success Programming.

Accessing these smells is one of the quickest ways to get yourself into the proper 'feeling' state for visualization and achievement of goals or on the right path to the goals.

I look back on those days living in Europe with a sense of accomplishment. Stepping out of my comfort zone - I navigated foreign lands, taught myself two New languages and engaged total strangers in conversation to expand my mental horizons.

I can instantly relive my empowering days then and as Dr. Maltz says, Flip the Switch to whatever is currently challenging me.

All I have to do is think of that warm day on the train in Northern Italy and smell those lemons to visualize with the proper vibration. Once there, I can face any challenge currently in front of me.

So I ask you to recall the smells of the office where you delivered a quality presentation, smell of mud as you completed a challenging obstacle course and yes, even the smell of a dirty old wrestling mat can bring back squadron of success memories.

You can also use these smells to visualize future goals; that new car or house you've always wanted. Get in tune with your olfactory sense to make your success visualizations soar to the stratosphere.

Conceive, Believe, Achieve,
